He’s the central figure of the world’s largest religion and appears in the religious texts of 7 others, making him a prominent figure in 70% of the world’s religious beliefs.

Jesus is the central figure of Christianity, a religion followed by approximately 2.4 billion people all over the world. Scientists, astronomers, and theologians suggest that Jesus Christ was actually born around 4-6 B.C. rather than 1 A.D. and that he was born in the spring and not on December 25th.

In Christian numerology, the number 888 represents Jesus, or sometimes more specifically Christ the Redeemer. This representation may be justified either through gematria, by counting the letter values of the Greek transliteration of Jesus’ name, or as an opposing value to 666, the number of the beast.

In the Bible

Over the course of the Bible, Jesus tells a total of 33 parables, human stories that were designed to teach people about God. He also apparently had a crowd of 70-72 disciples that he preached to daily.

The Bible also claims that he performed 38 miracles in total, including exorcisms and His own resurrection. Among these miracles is a story in which Jesus fed 5,000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, by multiplying them. He also turns 6 jars of water into wine instantly.

It’s been estimated that while being crucified, Jesus Christ died at 3pm on Friday April 3rd, 33 AD, meaning he was 27-29 years old when he died rather than the often cited 33 years old; although this is often debated.

In America alone, there are currently 33 legally named Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus will return to Earth again, of course no one can be sure about the specific day and hour.

Have a blessed Holy week.
